I’m Daniel Dessinger, founder of Purposeweb.com. I launched Purposeweb site for one reason only: to help business owners/managers define, clarify, and achieve their purpose on the earth.
Far too often, people launch marketing and advertising initiatives without a clearly defined purpose. They use a channel for broadcasting their message because “they’re supposed to.” And along the way, they realize that they’re not sure whether the results earned are optimal.
My hope is to catch as many people as possible BEFORE that “Oh no!” moment and help them navigate to safer waters. For me, it’s all about the next great problem to solve. I love a good challenge.
My Background
The year was 2000. I was a college student really digging into the Internet for the first time. After falling in love with glorious Napster, I discovered MSN Groups. I created a group for my Pew College Society friends to discuss philosophy, theology, and literature.
As the moderator, I tried to keep conversations rolling with new forum topics and responses when a thread grew cold.
I was exhilarated by the freedom to make ongoing intelligent conversation available to everyone without losing what had already been said. We shared photos from our Pew retreats, Spring Conferences, and other events.
The online community lasted maybe two semesters, but the idea and the possibilities stayed with me. Several years later, I picked up SEO as a secondary discipline to my writing. It was SEO that set me on the path that led me here, consulting with clients of all shapes and sizes, solving problems and formulating digital strategies.
